HIGHER IN PROTEIN HOT COCOA CHOCOLATE CUPS

 


Welcome back to episode 12 of my festive holiday eats series. Today it’s how to make higher in protein, festive hot cocoa chocolate cups. These also make the perfect DIY gift for your friends and family too.

Festive Higher in Protein Hot Chocolate Cups
10 oz no sugar added chocolate chips
1 tsp organic refined coconut oil
1/2 cup vegan mini marshmallows
1 cup  plant based chocolate protein powder
1/4 cup organic cacao powder
1 tsp cinnamon
Festive sprinkles of choice
Candy canes

Instructions:
1. Melt your chocolate chips with coconut oil
2. Pour melted chocolate into silicone cup molds. Swirl around and pour excess chocolate back in bowl. Freeze for 10 minutes and repeat a few times to make a sturdy cup.
3. Carefully remove the chocolate cups from molds
4. Mix chocolate protein powder, cacao powder, cinnamon in a bowl. And fill each chocolate cup with high protein hot chocolate mix
5. Add a candy cane in the middle
6. Pour melted chocolate over top
7. Add mini marshmallows on top and freeze until the chocolate is hardened
8. Drizzle with melted chocolate on top and sprinkle with festive sprinkles
9. Freeze for 10 minutes to allow the chocolate to fully set
10. Enjoy with your favorite warmed dairy free milk
